A good place to begin research if you are looking for authoritative, full-text documents on topics spanning the spectrum of criminal justice. Offers documents and web sites related to corrections, courts, crime prevention, drugs, juvenile justice, law enforcement, victims, and statistics. Be sure to check out the abstracts database.

Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention
Provides juvenile justice statistics, information on the agency's mission and programs, and full-text reports and other publications.

Federal Government

U. S. Department of Justice
Includes a "what's new" section, educational material, publications and documents, and information about topics such as domestic violence and youth violence.  An organizational chart links to numerous organizations with unique resources, such as Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS), Office of Information and Privacy, and the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

National Institute of Justice (NIJ)
The research, development, and evaluation agency of the US Department of Justice, NIJ offers research reports on a range of topics such as youth gangs, DNA identification, drinking and drug use as they relate to crime, etc.

Federal Judiciary Homepage
Contains an overview of the US court system, links to the federal circuit courts, an online library with full-text reports and other documents, and news.

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
Offers news and reports and publications such as Uniform Crime Reports for crime statistics, and information about the agency.

Massachusetts Court System

Sourcebook of Criminal Justice Statistics
From the U. at Albany, offers over 600 tables of criminal justice statistics from over 100 sources. You can browse the table of contents or do a keyword search.

National Archive of Criminal Justice Data (NACJD)

FBI Law Enforcement Bulletin

Western Criminology Review
